Love Cassette II

It was incredibly warm and inviting she thought to herself. A sirens song embracing her in a warm blanket. She's been cold for so long that she forgot how warmth and life felt like. Obsessing over the idea of a family that after years it's become warped into chains that bind those dear to her. Closer and closer this fixation takes her to the breaking point as she continues to follow along to the voice singing.

Somewhere deep down Mia knew the repercussions of her actions, knew that her passion had grown warped as tears fell from those dear to her. A family was meant to support each other, but she had trapped them against her. Pulling and tugging them along as she grew closer to the edge of their lifeboat. The roaring complaints and plea's they sang fell on deaf ears as the waves drowned them out.

This makeshift boat she made began to crack underneath the weight of her expectations. Life kept crashing hard against the hull of her ship. She was drowning. The sirens song only more compelling as she chased after her hopeless dream. The boat rocked on and it seemed that her family was breaking apart as she cried.

She was used to the world crashing down around them. Mia knew it was her duty to continue to makeshift a plausible and inviting home for them. The temptress had become the tempted. Just as she reached the railing he stood beside her. Always her rock he grounded her where the others feared to. She was weak compared to them but, she came like the storm she defended them against. A roaring beast that scratched back at the world. Mia dared those she considered outsiders to hurt her family. She bared her fangs and licked her wounds underneath the cover of darkness while huddled up against her family.

Yes, they were makeshift. It was true that they once all hated each other and would've fought to death not long ago. But, Haruko was warm. He was the rock to lean against as the storm raged on. He was the anchor she relied on to when the boat could not take another beating from the waves. As the siren song raged on he hugged her from behind while whispering comforting words into her ears. He reminded her of the truths and how to properly chase her dreams. As the boat passed the jutting rocks with her siren's song safely her mind cleared.

Mia felt Haruko's warm embrace from behind and leaned back. Her hand loosened against their chains and she felt Diane breath the first sigh of relief. From behind those she considered just children stood closer. There was never a need for the chains or the false promises and temptations. They've gone to close for that. Accepted what was presented at its ugliest and therefore no longer cared for false sweetness.

They were attached. Simply put they were family. Mia grasped Haruko's arms against her and leaned her head further back so, she could show him her smile. Pure accepting bliss came from her soft sigh. The smile Haruko gave in turn was sweeter than anything she's tried. Wanting a taste she crashed her lips against his as the ocean waves crashed against the hull.
